The EasyPIC4
In the old days I used to have an electronics kit as a child where I could build things by hooking wires up to little springs to make little circuits. It was cool, but I don't remember much past V = I x R.
To remedy that I figured that I should get a microcontroller to play with! My thinking it that it is still not much fun to make circuits you can't hook them up to stuff and my stuff will be a PIC controller. I ordered a EasyPIC4 demo board and we will see how well I can get this thing running.
One bit of difficulty is that we are now a Mac only home. If VirtualPC can't run the usb pic programmer I might have to bum an old PC off someone. We will see...
